Coconut milk is made from white inner flesh of mature coconuts.
NOTE
When buying a fresh coconut, alway choose one that is quite heavy for it size. Shake the coconut to make sure there is water inside, avoid any coconut that is cracked or punctured.
INGREDIENTS
1 mature coconut
2 c. boiled water
DIRECTIONS
Carefully crack coconut open with a hammer, drained out the coconut water.
Take the coconut meat out, and peeled away and discarded the brown skin.
Cut the coconut meat into small pieces.
Combined coconut and water in a blender and blend until coconut have broken down and become smooth.
Let it cool down, then strain the coconut milk through nut-milk bag or muslin.
Squeezing well to extract the cream and milk into a bowl.
