Prawn in glass noodle hot pot. Goong ob woon sen, is one most poplar dish that ofter people order in a Thai seafood restaurants.
INGREDIENTS
4-5 big Prawns, cleaned
50 grams or 1 small pack Grass Noodle
1 strips of Thick Bacon, sliced
1/2 cup Celery Leaves, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 1/2 inch Ginger, sliced
2 clove Garlic, crushed
2 Cilantro Root, or 1 tbs of stem, chopped
1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
1 tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Black Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns, cracked
1/2 cup Chicken Broth
DIRECTIONS
Soak noodle in water about 10-15 minutes, till noodle become soft, then drained.
In a bowl mix in light soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar and chicken broth.
Mix in noodle in sauce mixture.
Place bacon, ginger and garlic and peppercorn in a pot and spread evenly. Then add in noodle and cover.
Place the pot on stove and cook on medium- hight heat about 7 minutes.
Add prawns on top of noodle and covered. Keep cooking for about 3 minutes until all the liquids are absorbed by noodles.
Add in celery leaves and cover, remove from the stove and serve.
